It is a proclamation. It is an explosion of theological joy. It is the Church\u2019s response to the empty tomb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. What is the \u201cRegina Caeli\u201d? In this hymn, Easter joy and the figure of the Virgin Mary meet at a single point: the definitive victory of God over death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Historical origin: from monastic tradition to the heart of the Church<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Regina Caeli<\/em> has ancient roots, probably between the 10th and 12th centuries. It is associated with monastic liturgical tradition and medieval Marian devotion, where monks and faithful sought to express the Easter mystery in a brief form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to tradition, the hymn was gradually incorporated into Roman liturgy as an Easter Marian antiphon, until it was consolidated as an official part of the Church\u2019s universal prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its simple structure reflects something profound: in Easter, faith does not become more complicated\u2014it becomes simplified into joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Structure and spiritual richness of the prayer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Regina Caeli<\/em> is brief, but deeply theological. Her greatness comes from the Incarnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Resurrexit sicut dixit, alleluia.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2192 \u201cHe has risen, as He said, alleluia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christ fulfills His word. Faith rests on God\u2019s fidelity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2192 \u201cPray for us to God, alleluia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary intercedes. The Mother does not abandon her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. The \u201cRegina Caeli\u201d and Christian life today<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a world marked by uncertainty, fear, and hopelessness, this prayer is profoundly relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>a) Against the culture of emptiness<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We live in times where many people feel that \u201ceverything ends in the tomb.\u201d The <em>Regina Caeli<\/em> responds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Not everything ends in the tomb. Christ is risen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>b) Against personal suffering<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In suffering, this prayer does not deny the cross, but transforms it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pain exists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>But it does not have the last word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>c) Against loss of meaning<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Easter is not just a liturgical memory.
